Force and Motion

Today we learned about Force and Motion through two activities.  The Egg Drop and Sheep in a Jeep.  These activities were engaging and taught us all about Newton's Laws of Motion and what they mean for scientists today.  Sheep in a Jeep, the book, gives us a platform for engineering a solution to a problem (How can we keep the sheep in the jeep when it crashes?), and identifying the scientific reasons why the problem occurs (Why did the sheep fall out of the jeep?).  The egg drop allows us to witness the laws of motion in action.  We used our learning from the egg drop to discover the science behind the story of Sheep in a Jeep.

Sterling, Rebecca, and Destiny engineer ways to keep the sheep in the jeep.

Rodolfo is excited about his successful design.
