We celebrated the 100th day of school on Thursday. It was a great day to celebrate because it was also groundhog day and Kayden's birthday! We are working on counting higher numbers in our investigations math unit, and yesterday we made a 100th day hat with 100 star stickers. We found it was easiest to count the stickers in groups of 10. In pow wow (our social skills time), we did a team building activity where we had to make a plan to cut a piece of construction paper into 100 squares. The team that did it the quickest earned a new pencil. Each team used the 100 squares to make a picture as a team. We learned a lot about team work! The 100th day of school ended in the most perfect way... Dana Health and Fitness Night! We played interactive exercise games from kidnetic.com and we roamed the internet looking at websites that encourage healthy living. It was a long, productive, and exciting day!
